Rallies Politicians and Business Community for Playful Game of Croquet for a Cause Port Coquitlam, July 21, 2016- The Port Coquitlam Community Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Mayor’s Croquet Tournament Fundraising Event on Thursday, July 21st bringing politicians and the business community together for a playful competition of Croquet. Hosted on the banks of the Fraser River at the private Mackenzie residence, on the grounds of Harken Towing in Port Coquitlam, this full-day event will host approximately 200 guests and 40 players for a fun-filled Croquet tournament. The event consists of 3 sets of 40 minute games. Spectators and players alike will enjoy live music & entertainment, cocktail dinner, awards ceremony, and a live auction with unique prizes to bid on. “Our purpose in producing this unique fundraising event is to bring the community together and bring awareness about our cause, mission and impact in the community. “A fundraising event such as this, bringing together over 40 local businesses as sponsors and in-kind donors and enlisting my colleagues from various levels of government as Croquet players, demonstrate the generosity and philanthropic support of the community.” -30- About the Port Coquitlam Community Foundation: The Port Coquitlam Community Foundation (PCCF) is a not-for-profit charitable organization established in 2012 to provide avenues for channeling the benevolence, compassion, and generosity of our citizens and stakeholders for the betterment of the Tri-Cities community.
