I am retired long time resident of Poco and former accountant with a career that spanned over 40 years in senior financial and information technology positions. I retired in 2012 as the Chief Information Officer at the City of Vancouver. Previous professional roles included controller/GM positions in the telecom industry primarily in finance, accounting, and Information technology roles.
In addition to my role as the Director and Treasurer of the PoCo community foundation, I also serve as the Treasurer of Hope Lutheran Church and School and an officer on the board as well as Treasurer of the Haney Masters curling club. In the past, I was involved with a variety of sports organizations as a coach or board member. I have also been active in the accounting association as a provincial board member on various committees of the association.
I have been married for 47 years and have 2 married sons living in the Tri-Cities and a married daughter living in Calgary. We have been blessed with 8 beautiful grandchildren.
After retirement I was seeking opportunities to volunteer and serve with organizations that focused on giving to the community and I was pleased to have had the opportunity to join the PoCo Community Foundation. The Foundation has made significant progress towards creating a legacy for generations to come which I know will benefit all residents of our City.
