I thrive on responsibility, order and helping others. My motto is: “To help individuals and small businesses help themselves”.
My experience includes project financial reporting, administration and procedural implementation. My company Andersen Barker & Company also publish the local What’s On! Port Coquitlam Magazine. Over the past few years, I have created a work experience program to help women either start out in the workforce or re-enter the workforce. This is to enable women to gain confidence and skills to work in an office environment.
I am passionate about volunteering in my community. I am a past President of the Rotary Club of Port Coquitlam and have held positions on other not-for-profit boards. I learned from my own struggles with having a son with mental health issues; continually advocating and supporting families dealing with the lack of resources for mental wellness.
I am married with two adult children Alana and Lucas, and have three grandchildren Jonas, Rowan and Taylor. My husband Jim and I have lived in the area since 1983.
