As a proud lifelong resident of Port Coquitlam, Jon appreciates Poco’s great diversity of residents, beautiful landscapes, bustling neighbourhoods, and strong sense of community spirt. This is why Jon and his wife choose to raise their family of 4 in the community they love.
Learning at a young age from his parents’ commitment to community involvement, Jon thrives as a volunteer supporting various organizations and causes over the years. He had previously served as a board member at Crossroads Hospice Society, an organization he has supported or volunteered at for most of his adult life. For the past 10 years, he has participated in, fundraised for, and captained a large cycling team in support of BC Cancer Foundation’s “Tour de Cure” event. As his kids have grown, he has been a Cub Scout leader, a football coach, and has volunteered at his kids’ school events. At his workplace Jon has participated and organized numerous other volunteer engagement opportunities, most of which have benefited many Tri-Cities not-for-profits and charitable organizations. Jon was recognized as an “RBC Global Citizen” in 2020 for his outstanding philanthropic effort and community involvement.
Jon continues to enjoy his 24-year career in Financial Services, most of which has been in the Tri-Cities. His current role as Manager Business Markets has him leading a team of Small Business Relationship Managers in the Fraser Valley region (including Poco). Jon is excited to bring his knowledge from working with different business leaders and organizations, and his financial acumen, to his role with the Foundation.
Jon was introduced to the Poco Foundation when he began volunteering on the planning committee for the past 3 “Croquet for Community” events. He is honoured to be representing his community, and working collaboratively with other community partners, as a Director of PCCF.
