The City of Port Coquitlam has partnered with the Port Coquitlam Community Foundation (PoCo Foundation) to establish the City of Port Coquitlam Granting Fund. The City of Port Coquitlam approved the yearly $65,000 funding from the Recreation Community Cultural Development and Community Capital Project Matching Grants budget to the PoCo Foundation for distribution to qualifying grant applicants.
The Community Capital Projects Matching Grant Program
The Community Capital Projects Matching Grant Program encourages projects expected to result in direct benefits to the community. Individuals and organizations may request funding for projects which involve capital assets (specialized equipment) and new construction, renovation or expansion of community facilities or spaces such as sports fields, parks, environmental habitat, community recreation, arts and culture, streetscapes, etc.
Applicants must be based in Port Coquitlam and can apply for between $1,000 and $10,000 in matching funds for a future project that will take place within Port Coquitlam.

The Community Cultural Development (CCD) Investment Program Grants
The Community Cultural Development (CCD) Investment Program supports qualifying individuals, groups and organizations that offer high-quality arts and heritage initiatives for Port Coquitlam residents.
Development Grants:
- Professional Development (up to $1,000): Individual artists, administrators and board members of arts, culture and heritage organizations that serve Port Coquitlam
- Community Initiatives (up to $2,500): Individuals, groups, and collectives without not-for-profit status planning arts, culture and heritage initiatives that benefit Port Coquitlam residents
- Capacity Building (up to $5,000): Port Coquitlam arts, culture and heritage organizations with not-for-profit status; these grants support strategic organizational development.
Project Grants (up to $5,000):
- Not-for-profit organizations planning arts, culture and heritage projects, programs, events, and festivals in Port Coquitlam and primarily focus on Port Coquitlam and its residents
- Art, music and theatre schools that operate as private businesses as long as the proposed project demonstrates a benefit to the community and the need for subsidy
