Mohammed Mecklai is a resident of Port Coquitlam since 1995 and has joined the Port Coquitlam Foundation Board as a Treasurer. Mohammed is a Chartered Professional Accountant (“CPA”) that operates his own Public Practice Accounting firm in Burnaby. Through his career as a CPA, he has had the opportunities to be a board member on various non-for-profit organizations which have has been a gratifying experience for him.
Being a resident of Port Coquitlam, it was time for him to give back to the community where he started his family. In March 2006, the family decided to sell their Port Coquitlam house and move closer towards downtown Vancouver. While searching for homes in various tri-cities areas and Vancouver, the family was drawn back to the remarkable City of Port Coquitlam and purchased another house in June 2006 on the same street that the first house was sold.
When not working and giving back to the community, Mohammed enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 boys exploring the nature trails of Port Coquitlam, running the trails or streets and enjoying time with his close Port Coquitlam friends over a glass a wine.
